I downloaded a few free packs from Pioneer and noticed they were even taller at aprox. I played a few VX games where the characters seemed bigger - I checked and found that they were taller graphics, 32x48 (1.5x taller) I know that in VX the character graphics are 32x32 and in MV 48x48. Regarding realistic character graphics (aka the High Fantasy stuff by Pioneer games): Overall I'm excited about MV - I may jump to other IDEs eventually for other projects but for now I think I can make a few humble but great lil games with the MV. I like that I can use pixie javascript to talk to the game engine and plug-ins - that's pretty darn cool. I found some great plug-ins - Yanfly for the core engine plug-in and menu mod and Gameous for the quest framework I was looking for. Also played a few games put out by the community as well. ![]() I made a few short "Hello world!" MV games to learn/test the limits of the systems involved and to test out scripting. For me this journey is all about the stories I want to relate in game form - I've just been casting about for the right environment and game engine.
